The Five Year Wait for Travis Scott's New Album is Over!

After five long years, Travis Scott’s new album UTOPIA is finally out. The album is 1 hour and 14 minutes long with 19 tracks on it. UTOPIA features many artists such as The Weeknd, Bad Bunny, Playboi Carti, and even Beyoncé. The album has a different sound compared to his last album from 2018, ASTROWORLD.

Was the 5 year wait worth it?

Although some loved the album and are claiming this is the “Album of the Year”, others were highly disappointed by it. When Travis dropped the first and only single for the album called K-POP (featuring Bad Bunny and The Weeknd), some people were not happy about it. Some were disappointed because it wasn’t what they wanted, others because of the title of the song. Even though he titled the song this, it had nothing to do with K-pop when you listen to it. Although the song caused lots of controversy due to the title, the rollout for the album was amazing with all the artists featured and Travis himself carrying around a briefcase with the title of the album engraved in it.

What do I think of this album?

I think that although the album was great, it can sound a little underwhelming at first because it's not what Travis normally makes. I do think that it's very nice to hear a different vibe from Travis and get a different type of album from him. If you haven’t listened to the album yet, I do recommend giving it a listen!
