Two Sides to Every Story: Review of "Falling Down" by Selena Gomez

PoorBest

With the recent release of Selena Gomez's single "Falling Down" off her upcoming album Kiss and Tell, there has been a lot of criticism about her and her singing career. Because she is with Disney, and let's face it, almost all Disney stars have some record coming out or a single that's been released, there has been a lot of "Selena-bashing".  I must admit, I was a little skeptical also when I heard she was releasing her own album. It seems like more now than ever, a lot of Disney stars have been getting record deals and adding "singer" to their resume, right up there next to actor or actress. BUT I was actually presently surprised with this single. I really like it. I mean, I am no music expert, but I do think it’s a good song. I like it: from her voice, to the lyrics, to the beat. I found myself nodding along to it in front of my computer, and singing along with the chorus the second and third time around.

But like I said there is a lot of bashing for her single, saying she can't sing, her music videos are pieces of played out crap, etc. But a lot of the hate ALWAYS comes back to Disney. I mean, would anyone even have gave a second glance to her single if she wasn't affiliated with Disney? Or would have she have as many haters as she does if she wasn't with Disney. There are two sides to every story. But I want to hear yours. Leave your thoughts: what do you think of "Falling Down"? Are you excited or could care less about her upcoming album release? Would you like her better or less if she wasn't with Disney? Or do you not like her at all, Disney or no Disney?
