For years we have heard about the golf prodigy that is Michelle Wie and for years she was unable to perform the way in which the public expected. She was supposed to win tournament after tournament on the Women's tour and give the men on tour a run for their money. Instead she missed cuts and attempted to earn her tour card through sponsor exemptions...until this year. This year she qualified for her tour card the old fashioned way, through Q-School. Wie had a successful though so far winless year on tour. Captain Beth Daniel used one of her picks to select the powerful teenager to compete in the Solheim Cup. At the Solheim Cup Wie finally showed that she had the ability to perform in a high pressure situation. She outperformed every othe American on the team with a 3-0-1 record and amazed with her ability to hit 300+ yard drives. The only question now is... Can she build on that success in a team event to win for the first time as an individual? Wie will tee it up on tour this weekend and now more than ever all eyes will be on her.
