Tom Brady was born August 3, 1977 in San Mateo, California and the perennial All-Pro is regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the NFL. Brady overcame the odds in order to make the NFL: he was benched at Michigan as the starting QB, drafted in the sixth round and had to beat out a stud quarterback in Drew Bledsoe in order to attain the starting job. He has developed into a superstar on an illustrious scale as he has 3 Super Bowl Rings as the leader of the Patriots dynasty, two Super Bowl MVPs, one NFL MVP and has been selected to five Pro Bowls. Brady is not only known for his combination of arm strength and accuracy but for his off the field glamor as well. Brady dated actress Bridget Moynahan for two years and has a son with her but is now married to superstar model Gisele Bundchen. Brady’s best year was 2007 when he was provided superstar receiver Randy Moss, a dynamite slot receiver in Wes Welker and Donte’ Stallworth. In coach Bill Belichick’s offense, Brady flourished, throwing 50 touchdowns, an NFL record, and leading his team to an unprecedented 18-0 record before being miraculously upset by the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII. Brady has won Sportsman of the Year twice in 2004 and 2007, presented by the Sporting News, and holds numerous records including highest completion percentage in a game (26/28, 92.9%), most completions in a Super Bowl and in Super Bowl history, won 76 of his first 100 starts, has the fourth highest career passer rating of all time (92.9) and helped the Patriots win 21 straight games, the longest streak in NFL history. Brady tore ligaments in his knee to begin the 2008 season, giving way to Matt Cassel, but successfully returned in 2009. With receiving corps of Randy Moss and Wes Welker and the other focal points of the Patriots team still intact, Brady should lead another New England charge to the postseason.
