The Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees may be forced to wait until Saturday to begin their three game series in the Bronx due to the possibility of a rain postponed game. With the rain continuing to fall heavily in New York City there looks to be no chance of squeezing in the highlighted matchup of C.C. Sabathia versus Mark Buehrle. Sabathia enters tonight’s game with a 5-0 record in August while his counterpart Buehrle has yet to win a game this month but does have three loses in five starts. The last match up between these two star hurlers was far from a pitching duel as Sabathia gave up five runs in seven innings but was still awarded a win due to the offensive power of the Yankees who knocked Buehrle out of the game in the fifth inning after teeing him off for seven runs. If the game is rained out, the two teams will most likely play a split day night doubleheader on Saturday as the White Sox don’t come into town again this season.
