The summertime thriller "A Perfect Getaway" follows a young newlywed couple as they backpack along the trails on one of Hawaii’s most beautiful islands for their honeymoon. However things soon get grim when the couple gets news of the horrible murder of another newlywed couple. Not wanted to ruin their stay, the two decide to continue their journey, meeting up with two other couples along the way. However things take a turn for the worse, no one knows who to trust, and life on this secluded island is anything but easy.
Personally, I didn't find it too "thrilling", I mean it’s not the SCARIEST movie out there. But it has its moments, I must admit. Also, what it lacks in its eeriness it makes up for in action. I wouldn't want to give it away, but let's just say the slow start is well worth the fast paced ending. The suspense in the movie, I must also add, will kill you. You never really know what's to expect, who to point the finger at, because with each scene something is revealed that makes everything else oblivious. Like a big game of clue! It's really worth the watch in the theaters.
