After a series of scandals Father Alberto or el Padre Alberto as he is known, finally tied the knot with Ruhama Buni Canelis. He was not only excommunicated from his church but also lost his radio and talk show. It was a high price to pay for love, el Padre Alberto did, however, come free of his long kept secret. A secret that some media sources argue wasn't too well kept and was purposely thrown out to the public. Whether the Miami beach scene was premeditated or simply bad luck the fact is people all around the country were pretty upset and some even angered by the shocking paparazzi photographs. The Catholic community asked for a public apology from el Padre Alberto. But why apologize for loving someone? In a interview with Teresa Rodriguez from Univision show Primer Impacto titled "Rompe el Silencio" el Padre Alberto calmly comes forward with his story.
A month after the publication of the famous photographs where Padre Alberto is lying on the beach with Ruhama, these lovebirds decided it was time to make their love official maybe not before the eyes God but for the media and a society that had and/or continues to criticize them. Weeks of scandal we can say are finally over, hopefully....
