Bollywood, the world's largest film industry, is known not only for the numerous films it produces, but also it's songs and colorful music. Every Bollywood movie has songs, and lots of them. To have a movie without good songs, usually yields poor results at the box-offices. Thus, the key to a great Bolly film is definitely good songs. Nowadays, it seems like musicians have run out of new ideas and songs. So, they resort to remix-ing old crowd pleasers. Old songs like Pan Banaras Wala (an Amitabh Bachchan song that was really famous) and even new songs have remixes. Now, whenever you buy a CD, it has the original version of the song and the remix-ed version, as well. All these remixes make great party and dance songs, but they sometimes ruin the song itself. I mean, in some instances, the song has a fast and dance-to-it beat, but the composers go and make the song even more of a remix than it already is. I find that completely pointless. Why remix a remix? For instance, the song Om Mangalam Mangalam from Kambakht Ishq, which was released a few months ago, is a fast, upbeat song that has a remix with only a few additions. Listening to the original song and the remix is like listening to the same thing. However, though remixes can be redundant and overdone a majority of the time, sometimes they actually make the song better. Like the song Lazy Lamhe, from the movie Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, sounds much better in its remix version. So, check out a remix and the original song to decide your favorite (or if there is even a favorite because they might sound exactly the same!)
