This week has had two music video releases which caught my eye and that I felt necessary to share with you all. First was Taylor Swift’s video for “Fifteen”, and then Justin Bieber’s second music video, “One Less Lonely Girl”.
Let me just say, I love “Fifteen” because it’s so relatable. That is the best thing about Taylor and other artists who write a lot of their own music: their songs are more personal and relatable. You feel a sense of connection between them, and thus you end up enjoying their music more when you are able to bring them down to your level. So, I love the song. But the video = amazing-ness. The video is set in a field with blooming flowers and swirling lines all over—it’s very natural and calming. The one fragmented scene meshes together before you, walking you through the halls “of your very first day” of high school, and leads you trough a date scene and basically follows along with the verses in the song. Also, Abigail is featured! (She is the friend mentioned in the song). She’s goes on the date I mentioned, in the video. It really has a sweet, innocent sense to it with the setting and background colors. Well, innocence meets darkness towards the end….just watch it and this will all make sense! I would give it 4/5 stars! Mostly because she doesn’t do much during the chorus, but it’s still all good:
OOOO and I cannot forget Bieber! With his hit debut single for “One Time” (also below) released just a few months ago, this kid is popping up EVERYWHERE. Really. So anyway, his music video for is new hit single, “One Less Lonely Girl” just had its world premiere on PerezHilton.com. The song itself is amazingly adorable, just like “One Time” is—I mean how can you not love it? The songs are just sweet and all about innocent puppy love…very heart warming stuff. So, the video starts off in a laundry mat and Bieber checks out a cute girl but then she leaves. She leaves her scarf behind and he gets the idea to send her on a treasure hunt to find it—and him! Like I said, it’s really cute and you have to mentally “awwww” towards the end. Not only that, but his voice fits his songs so well, that I can’t imagine anyone else singing these songs. AND the song is so catchy: when I watched the behind-the-scenes video before hearing the full song, the chorus was already stuck in my head! Hahah, it’s really a nice song, puts a smile on every girls face. Justin is GREAT at doing that. I would give it 5/5 stars, mainly because there’s a lot of action, and the scene changes so it doesn’t get boring…and the song is just 5 stars itself:
